Waking up in a hospital, Mia is unable to recall her past. A woman named Laura claims to be her mother and quickly takes her home. Mia discovers Laura is mentally ill and believes Mia is her deceased daughter. In the end, Mia escapes with the help of the police, reuniting with her real parents who had been searching for her.
