‘Not Flattering’: Jennifer Lopez Faces Backlash for Wearing ‘Too Short’ Shorts at NYC Movie Screening – Pics & Video

Recently, on November 3, Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez made a fashion statement while stepping out for a special screening of “Unstoppable” in New York City. Dripping head to toe in designer labels, the actress, who plays Judy Robles in the flick, attracted many waiting to snap pictures of her as she stepped out of a building in The Big Apple.

As Lopez exited the building, she paused to pose for the photographers, allowing them to capture her eye-catching look in its full glory.

Lopez looked effortlessly chic in a Gucci tan knit ensemble that showcased her signature style. The “Maid in Manhattan” talent’s timeless, coordinated look combined luxury with a hint of edge, offering a fresh twist on autumnal fashion.

To elevate her look even further, the “On the Floor” singer wore a cozy brown turtleneck that peeked out from under her cardigan. Adding to her look were striking, shiny leather boots designed by fashion powerhouse Yves Saint Laurent, which are valued at $1,799.77 (€1,650).

Lopez, fashioned her honey-toned locks into a low ponytail and left only a few strands loose to frame her face, accessorized with oversized sunglasses, and tan gloves. She also carried a chic brown bag.

In addition to videos showing her posing for the paparazzi, additional footage showed Lopez taking some time to connect with her fans later on the same day (Sunday). She stopped to sign an autograph for an admirer who praised her outfit and beauty.

Lopez flashed a warm, grateful smile, and thanked the fan for their comment. The “Marry Me” star’s outfit turned heads in New York, but it also stirred a lively debate online, where fans and critics alike were quick to share their thoughts on her bold fashion choices.

“Good lord. Who dresses her?? Ben must be so happy to be gone,” remarked an Instagrammer.

Another critic questioned the appropriateness of her look, commenting, “A little too old for this look.” “Ridiculous outfit,” opined one observer while another wrote, “I don’t like this look! It looks cheaper! And she is so gorgeous…”

Several others fixated on the length and fit of the shorts, questioning if they truly flattered the superstar. “She looks big in that outfit no hood [sic],” observed a spectator. Another bluntly noted, “😮not flattering look [sic].”

“The shorts are a bit too short 🤷🏻‍♀️. Gotta ask why at her age, attention? Not classy at all. My opinion so no need to bark back 😉,” penned someone else. Another person chimed in with, “Bicycle shorts??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂.”

Echoing the confusion, one user simply asked, “What’s up with the shorts?” Others critiqued her overall movement in the ensemble, with one person commenting, “HAHAHA, she barely walk in those, CHINA MADE 👢 [sic].” “The outfit is a no and why is she walking like that [sic]” added someone else.

However, not all responses were judgementally harsh. “She looks amazing 🔥🔥🔥,” swooned one admirer, while another gushed, “She looks beautiful ❤️.” “Gorgeous 😍😍😍,” praised someone else.

In “Unstoppable,” Lopez portrays a pivotal figure in the life of wrestler Anthony Robles. Anthony, born with only one leg, defied all odds to win a national wrestling championship in 2011 while competing at Arizona State University.

His journey from adversity to victory is brought to life on screen, showcasing resilience and determination against the harshest of challenges. Jennifer Lopez is joined by an impressive ensemble cast, including Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Don Cheadle, and Michael Peña.
