Little Johnny skipped school one day.
The next afternoon, his teacher showed up at his house.
When Grandpa saw her walking up the driveway, he panicked and whispered,
“Johnny, hide! I’ll tell her you’re not here!”
Johnny shook his head.
“No, Grandpa… YOU should hide.”
Grandpa frowned.
“Why me?”
Johnny sighed.
“Because I told my teacher I skipped school to attend your funeral.”
Grandpa’s face went completely white.
Before he could say a word, the teacher knocked on the door.
Grandpa nervously opened it.
“Good afternoon, sir,” the teacher said with a smile.
Grandpa breathed a huge sigh of relief.
Then the teacher added,
“I just came to make sure the right person died.”
Grandpa slowly turned toward Johnny.
“Son… we need to have a serious conversation.”
Johnny nodded.
“Maybe after my next excuse.”
