The smallest baby born in the UK 20 years will spend Easter with her family after beating the odds to struggle through her first few days.
The tiny baby, from Bishop’s Cleave in Gloucestershire, was born on June 14, 2018, at 24 weeks.
She weighed just around 12 ounces at the time of her birth, and her hands were even smaller than 1p coins.
According to her parents she made the other babies in the premature unit look like “giants”.
At birth Isabella weighed less than a can of fizzy drink and was smaller than a packet of baby wipes.
Isabella was born four months early at 24 weeks following an emergency cesarean in June last year
The couple had faced really hard times after their daughter was born weighing less than one pound via an emergency cesarean section.
Isabella went through months of medical care and two life-threatening procedures before the doctors allowed her to get discharged from the hospital in December.
Despite all odds, the teeny child has now turned one-year-old.
To mark this special occasion, Isabella’s parents Ryan Evans and Kym Brown threw a party in celebration.
The couple’s happy moment became even special when dad Ryan got down on one knee and proposed mom Kym to tie the knot with him.
Little Isabella blew out the candles on her cake as the guests sang Happy Birthday to her.
Aww, that’s so sweet. This lovely family deserves all the happiness in the universe!
