12 Mistakes You Make In The Shower That Can Affect Your Health
Here are some things to keep in mind the next time you shower in order to optimize your enjoyment:
1. Showering after exercising
When we exercise, there is a stench in our perspiration due to the presence of microbes on our skin. These microbes need to be scrubbed from the skin to avoid allergies and rashes. Therefore, take a shower right after a workout as soon as possible.
2. Don’t get a pedicure after shaving
We often tend to shave our legs first and then get a pedicure. This practice can lead to the small scratches on our feet to get sick.
3. Taking contrasting showers
When you are almost done with your shower, conclude the session by turning the shower on completely. The pressure of the shower will equalize the pressure of your body, and help strengthen your frame. However, showers before bed can sometimes be less conducive to our sleep cycles.
4. Showering every day
Showering and washing your hair daily can lead to dry skin and thinning hair. To avoid flaky skin and scalp, make sure you are not scrubbing yourself every day.
5. Don’t wrap your towel around your hair
Wet hair is precariously prone to breakage and shedding. The fact that wet hair is stuck makes your hair look much less clean and fresh.
6. Clean the shower head regularly
The shower head is something we almost never end up cleaning. Scrub the shower head plate layer to enjoy a healthy, sanitized shower.
7. Keep the soap dish dry
You need to keep the soap dish dry so that it does not become a host for germs and other bacteria. Keeping the soap dish moist causes the soap cake to melt and does not allow impure water to drain.
8. Don’t leave your razor in the shower
If you use a razor in the bathroom, make sure you take it out before you leave. Moisture can make the blades unsuitable for use.
9. Regularly change/wipe your towel
Make sure you regularly change or clean your towel to prevent bacteria from growing on it. Air your towel every day and do not leave it soaked.
10. Clean your bathtub
Each time you take a shower, make sure to scrub the tub immediately after use. This will help keep it clean for use afterwards – either for someone else, or even for yourself. In addition, it stops the build-up of E. Coli in the bathroom.
11. Don’t leave your sponge wet
Be sure to place the sponge in a clean, dry area after using it in a shower. The wet mesh can otherwise be a host for thriving microbes.
12. Wash your feet thoroughly
Most people tend to dispense with cleaning their feet as much as they would think about cleaning their body. But non-careful washing can be the reason for toenail growth.
