One of the indispensable appliances in every household is the refrigerator. However, after a long time of use, the refrigerator will have dirt on the door edge, along with many stains and oil stains. If not cleaned for a long time, it will even become moldy.
This will make it easy for bacteria to grow in the refrigerator. Here is a little tip to make the refrigerator clean as new immediately, without damaging the rubber strip and not deforming.
Clean with salt
The simplest and equally effective way to clean the rubber gasket of the refrigerator that housewives often apply is to clean it with salt.
- Step 1: Prepare a bowl of salt because salt has a disinfecting effect and a little baking soda has the effect of cleaning tiny dirt.
- Step 2: Then, add salt and baking soda with a little vinegar, white wine and stir the mixture until they dissolve.
- Step 3: Take a piece of cloth soaked in the previous solution, after the cloth has been soaked, take a chopstick. Wrap the cloth around the chopstick and thread it through the rubber gasket slots to wipe away bacteria and dirt on the surface. Because the rubber gasket of the refrigerator is quite small, use chopsticks to optimize the cleaning process.
Use alcohol or wine
Alcohol and wine also have high cleaning properties and are effective in disinfecting.
- Step 1: Prepare alcohol (which cleans rubber and evaporates quickly), gauze and hard card.
- Step 2: Mix the mixture just prepared in a 1:1 ratio in a bowl, soak the gauze, then squeeze out the water, take the gauze and wrap it around the card and thread it through the small slots to clean the rubber gasket of the refrigerator.
