A family was having dinner when Mom suddenly asked her son,
“Son, who do you think is the most frugal person in this house?”
Without hesitation, the boy answered,
“Dad!”
Dad immediately smiled proudly.
“That’s my boy!”
Mom raised an eyebrow.
“Why do you think your dad is so frugal?”
The boy replied,
“Because every time we pass a restaurant, Dad says, ‘No need to stop. There’s still food at home.’”
Dad nodded proudly.
“That’s called being wise with money, son.”
The boy thought for a second.
“Yeah, Dad… but I’ve noticed something interesting.”
Dad’s smile disappeared.
“What?”
The boy continued,
“Whenever we pass a fishing store, you suddenly say…”
“‘Opportunities like this don’t come twice!’”
Mom burst out laughing.
Dad just sat there quietly.
Finally, he shook his head and said,
