My daughter is vegan and has raised her children, my grandchildren, in the same way.
Lately, I’ve noticed that my young granddaughters, who are 5 and 7 years old, seem very weak. They aren’t allowed to eat meat, eggs, fish, or dairy.
The girls often say they’re hungry, have dark circles under their eyes, and are underweight. They used to be very active, but now they mostly lie down and watch cartoons. My daughter claims this is just their bodies “removing toxins” and that they need time to adjust.
The situation became more concerning when my granddaughter saw “stars” in her vision upon standing up.
I decided to prepare a meal for them with roast chicken, mashed potatoes, veggies, and eggs, followed by a milkshake.
They seemed to regain their energy and no longer complained about hunger.
When my daughter found out, she said I would no longer be allowed to see them. I don’t apologize for it and have no regrets as I’m genuinely worried about their health.
