Yesterday, fashion enthusiasts from all around the world were waiting impatiently for pictures of the First Lady and Princess of Wales together for their first public appearance.
Additionally, it appears that Melania and Kate had been anticipating their union for a long time, with the future Queen apparently swooning over the Slovenian star’s attire.
For those who are not familiar with the royal itinerary for this week, since the political leaders arrived at the royal house, King Charles III and Queen Camilla have been hosting the US President and wife Melania Trump at Windsor Castle.
The Trumps initially got out of their Marine One helicopter, then Kate and her husband Prince William escorted them to meet with the queen outside the palace doors. They shook hands and engaged in small talk before moving on to their day’s events, which included speeches, military parades, state feasts, and musical performances.
After being hosted by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2019 during his first term, Trump’s travel to the UK marks the 79-year-old’s second consecutive invitation as a state leader to the UK.
As we say, as well as the political importance of the US-UK union, onlookers had also been waiting to catch a glimpse of the fashion-forward Melania and Kate enjoying one another’s company.
“Okay, the sheer amount of elegance and fashion in one room is going to be a global event,” one X (formerly Twitter) user gushed. “I am seated and ready for these pictures. This is a legendary pairing.”
Another continued: “All I care about is Melania and Princess Kate’s drip…”.
Just minutes after Melania and the President landed, it was said that Kate, a mother of three, couldn’t help but complement Melania on her outfit and was equally enthusiastic for the same gathering.
Kate, 43, reportedly said, “Your Macintosh is the same one I have, I wear it each time I fly,” according to Hickling.
“I know, it’s exceptional and such a comfort,” Melania reportedly replied with equal fervor. I occasionally wear it inside the house.
The Princess and First Lady have already swindled each other with their clothing.
For instance, Melania wore a powder blue dress and matching bolero to commemorate husband Trump’s first inauguration as president in 2017. Kate kind of copied this look five years later, wearing a similarly cornflower Alexander McQueen garment, according to National World.
Melania, 55, and Kate are scheduled to spend some time together later today. They will go to Frogmore Gardens, where they will be accompanied by UK Scoutmaster Dwayne Fields and members of the Scouts’ Squirrels program, which the Princess participated in as a child and is currently co-President of.
