Baby Thomas is the newest addition to the Johnson family. His mom and dad, Emily and Michael Johnson, said they just couldn’t wait for him to come into this world.
31-year-old Emily Johnson from Vacaville, California, had no intentions of giving birth under the stars after she and her husband had found out they were expecting their second child.
That is why as soon as Emily went into labor, her husband, Michael Johnson, and her mother, Kristy Sparks, got ready to take her to the hospital.
Little did the trio know, however, that the baby was not willing to wait any longer and that Emily’s contractions would speed up rapidly before she could even reach the car.
Emily knew she wouldn’t be able make it to the hospital in time, so she lay down in the front lawn and accepted she would be delivering the baby right there.
Fortunately, the mother wasn’t all alone during her delivery under the night sky. While she was supported and held by Michael, her mother helped her with the delivery and told her when to push.
As the first responders arrived at the family’s home, Emily had made her final push and a healthy baby boy named Tommy was born.
To make matters even more astounding, the entire delivery was caught on tape by the family’s Ring camera.
It was a birth they’ll certainly never forget — and now they have a story that needs to be told.
