A man was just stepping into the shower when his wife finished hers. Suddenly, the doorbell rang downstairs. Quick to answer it, the wife wrapped herself tightly in a bath towel and ran down the steps.
When she swung the door open, their next-door neighbor, Bob, was standing on the porch. Before she could even say hello, Bob looked her up and down and muttered, “I will hand you eight hundred dollars in cash right now if you drop that towel.”
She paused for a moment, did some quick mental math, and decided it was an easy windfall. She let the towel drop to the floor and stood completely naked in front of him. Bob stared for a few silent seconds, handed her a thick stack of hundred-dollar bills, and walked away without another word.
Thrilled with her easy cash, she wrapped herself back up, ran upstairs, and walked into the bedroom.
Her husband, still drying off from the shower, asked, “Hey, who was that at the door?”
“Oh, it was just Bob, our next-door neighbor,” she replied casually, hiding the cash in her drawer.
The husband smiled broadly and said:
“Fantastic! Did he finally drop off the eight hundred dollars he owes me?”
