The Royal Family was left feeling bewildered and incensed when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle declared their tenure as active members of the monarchy was over. Naturally, things didn’t exactly get better when they made a number of accusations against King Charles and company, starting an unending feud.
Charles was accused of not being a good father by Harry, while her termed Queen Camilla the “wicked” stepmother. Meghan Markle also made a bombshell claim of racism within the Royal Family. The royals have not responded to any of the allegations, and the rift today between the Sussexes and the monarchy is more profound than ever. No one knows if or when it will come to a close, but one rumored to want to protect the royals at any cost is Queen Camilla.
How Queen Camilla made an effort to assist Meghan Markle in adjusting to life as a royal
For Meghan’s adjustment to life as a royal, Camilla tried her hardest. Camilla asked Meghan to a private lunch shortly before she married Harry, during which she discussed how the press had treated her following the loss of Princess Diana and how she had handled the strain.
The Daily Mail claims that Camilla counseled Meghan to “ride out the storm if negative press would occur” and concentrate on the positive aspects of her position within the Royal Family.
Harry was reportedly given similar instructions by Charles.
But Meghan seemed to have a different opinion. She asserted that nobody was concerned about her well-being in an ITV documentary, stating, “Not many people have asked if I’m OK.”
Meghan’s friend told the Daily Mail, “Meg was really grateful to Camilla, who was very supportive and invited her out for private lunches, particularly around the time of her marriage.” “She listened to her and realized that coming from an otherwise ‘normal’ life, joining the Royal Family is really difficult.”
“Like Meghan, Camilla had to deal with a lot of bad press and animosity from courtiers because of her relationship with Charles when he was still married to Diana,” the friend continued.
“She tries very hard to make people welcome”
A palace assistant, meanwhile, told the Mail that Camilla knew what it was like to come from a “regular life” and then find herself unexpectedly in the most illustrious and prestigious royal family in the world.
According to the palace source, “she tries very hard to make people feel welcome and help them find their feet, and has done so for many years.”
The year after Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding, it became clear that their futures did not belong with the Royal Family. In any event, the announcement that the pair would not continue as senior working members of the Royal Family was made public in January 2020, despite the claims of some experts that they considered departing as soon as a few days after the wedding.
Meghan Markle and Queen Camilla “started a war” over images.
Whose fault was that, though? In one story, the beginning of the end was allegedly marked by a picture that infuriated Camilla.
A few weeks before the Sussexes departed the realm in 2020, Camilla was supposed to attend the Women of the World festival celebrating its tenth anniversary. She was scheduled to give a speech there, and rumour had it that Meghan had vowed to be out of her way.
According to The Mirror, Camilla and her group spent more than a year organizing the event. However, Meghan took center stage once there, upsetting Camilla.
According to a royal insider, Camilla places a high value on her job, and her choice to draw attention to the problem of domestic abuse during the 10th anniversary of Women of the World was well-considered.
Everyone agreed that Camilla’s speech should come first, even though it was obvious that Harry and Meghan would be attending engagements this week, some of which would be private.Regretfully, some folks had other viewpoints.
Meghan Markle’s “punishment” from Queen Camilla
The Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room is a book club that Camilla started in 2021 that discusses reading recommendations and other topics. It started during the pandemic, saw tremendous success, and eventually developed into a podcast.
“Camilla has had enormous success with her podcast. Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told The Sun, “She has repeatedly demonstrated that she is capable of bringing in any of the big names from the arts world she desires.”
“I doubt Meghan has a nice word to say about Queen Camilla or her podcast, given her seeming disinterest in her.”
Denise Palmer Davies, director of Borne Media and marketing expert, claims that Camilla’s accomplishments are the “perfect revenge” on Meghan.
“She has finally gotten her own back on them after all the hurtful things Harry has said about Camilla,” she told The Sun. “I’m betting Meghan, in particular, will be furious about the entire situation and perhaps a little ashamed that hers failed at the very first hurdle.”
