Kevin and Jane were in bed when Kevin decided he had a brilliant plan to avoid washing the baby’s bottles.
He closed his eyes, turned over, and started snoring loudly.
Jane walked into the bedroom, took one look at him, and immediately knew he was faking it.
She smiled, pulled out her phone, and said loudly,
“Oh, hi, Mom! Yes, Kevin is completely asleep.”
Kevin kept snoring.
Jane continued,
“It’s such a shame. I was going to give him the cash I found hidden in his old jacket today.”
Kevin’s snoring suddenly stopped.
Jane added, “But since he’s asleep, I guess I’ll just keep it.”
Kevin’s eyes flew open.
“WAIT! I’M AWAKE! What money?! Where is it?!”
Jane calmly put her phone away and smiled.
“The phone call was fake.”
Kevin froze.
“But the dirty baby bottles in the kitchen are very real.”
She pointed toward the kitchen.
“Nice acting, Mr. Snorer. Now go wash those bottles!”
Kevin slowly got out of bed.
He had just discovered that in marriage, there’s always a plot twist.
