I was sitting at a wedding reception when I leaned over to the person beside me and whispered,
“Wow… the bride is really not much to look at.”
The person slowly turned, stared me straight in the eye, and replied,
“Excuse me… that’s my daughter you’re talking about.”
My face instantly turned red.
“Oh… I’m so sorry!”
“I had no idea you were her father.”
The stranger frowned.
Then, in a perfectly calm voice, said,
“I’m not her father…”
A long pause.
“I’m her mother.” 😂
