The Power of Simplicity
My journey of losing weight wasn’t about hard exercise routines or stringent diets. Rather, I opted for a basic salad recipe as a main part in my journey – a mix of lettuce, green onions, and carrots. This might sound too good to be true, but this blend of fresh ingredients worked wonders for me.
Why This Salad?
Lettuce: Low in calories but high in fiber, water, and several essential vitamins, lettuce is a weight-loss-friendly food. It’s filling, yet light, and forms the perfect base for any salad.
Green Onions: These little greens are not just for garnishing; they’re packed with antioxidants and have a very low-calorie count.
Carrots: Known for their high fiber and water content, carrots are excellent for weight loss. They also add a delightful crunch and sweetness to the salad.
The Salad Routine
I began eating this salad at least once a day, which is usually served as my lunch or dinner. Here’s how I made it:
Ingredients: Fresh lettuce leaves, a bunch of green onions, and one or two carrots.
Preparation: Chop the lettuce and green onions, grate the carrots, and toss them together in a bowl. For dressing, I kept it simple – a squeeze of lemon, a drizzle of olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
